It has been another great week in P6.

In Numeracy, we have started looking at Place Value and consolidating our understanding of the value of numbers. In Literacy, we have had more of a focus on how we use descriptive words to help build up the image of a character in our writing. In RME, we continued to look at the early life of Prince Siddhartha Gautama and how his life is linked to the Buddhist faith. In Art, we have finished creating some small panels of Rennie Mackintosh inspired artwork. We have these on our classroom door and they look lovely when the light catches them. In Science, we have started a practical challenge all about how to help farmers in Nepal protect their produce on the way to market.

Digital Literacy is where we have been busiest this week. On Wednesday, we took and edited more digital images and on Thursday we were hard at work using hyperlinking to create a game/quiz in PowerPoint. Applications were also handed out to those interested in becoming part of the school’s new 'Digital Tech Team'. Can I please ask that any completed forms are returned on Monday.

Lots of great photos and evidence of our work this week are now available for you to view on our class blog.  The link is below. If you have forgotten the password, please ask your child to ask me for a copy of it.
